10th grade students participated in Professional Skills 101 where they learned about ‘Effective Communication on the Job’, and they recently met with local business professionals to cover a number of topics. Students learned about eye contact & body language, how to be a good listener, keeping an open mind, picking the right medium to communicate, building effective relationships, and more.
Presenters included Kara Ulasewicz-Travis from Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care, Angelia Kehl from St. Mary’s Healthcare, Amsterdam, Christina D’Antonio from GreyCastle Security, and Ashley Capobianco of Townsend Leather. Thank you to everyone for your participation!
