The HFM BOCES Special Education Division held a year-end graduation and celebration Monday, June 18 awarding six students their Skills Achievement Commencement Credentials.
“The students that we honor here today have exhibited perseverance as they have taken on a variety of challenges and then prepared to take on new ones. They have exemplified the ability to move forward and adapt to new situations and circumstances,” HFM Director of Special Education Michael Jacob said. “They will now continue to overcome new challenges as they enter the next phase of their lives.”
Students earning their credentials were:
Justin Isaac – Canajoharie Central School District
Kristerfer Passino – Fort Plain Central School District
Nate Hodge – Gloversville Enlarged School District
Rachel Lander – Gloversville Enlarged School District
Caleb Trigg – Mayfield Central School District
Dustin O’Dell – Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Central School District
Also during Monday’s event students were honored with academic achievement and attendance awards.
Students earning awards for Outstanding Academic Achievement were Joseph Molnar, Nicholas Smith, Dustin O’Dell, Matthew Zea, Cheyanna Cook and Rachel Lander.
Students earning awards for attendance were Michael Aquino, Ethan Darling, Dustin O’Dell, Jodie Barwette, Harlan Hayes, Ryan Hammond and Justin Isaac.
