P-TECH programs part of national workforce initiative

President Donald Trump today outlined a workforce development plan that includes connecting businesses with skilled workers, a tenet of the HFM BOCES’ two Pathways in Technology Early College High School (PTECH) programs.

Trump’s daughter and adviser, Ivanka Trump, this morning appeared on CNBC with a P-TECH student from Syracuse, pointing to the early college high school programs as an innovative way to ensure people can receive the education and training necessary to secure good-paying jobs.

During this afternoon’s “Pledge to America’s Workers” event, President Trump spoke about the importance of job training and signed an executive order that establishd a workforce council and advisory board to boost training and employment opportunities.
