Alexa Savage is a 2022 Program Completer from Johnstown who knew that PTECH’s pathway to higher education was for her.
“I decided to apply to PTECH because I was interested in advancing my education and being able to have higher-level opportunities,” said Savage.

She graduated with an associates degree in Business Administration from SUNY FMCC and feels that her time at PTECH really gave her a leg up in the professional world she now lives in.
“It gave me a competitive advantage in the workplace,” said Savage. “By having experience working in teams and dually managing high school and college curriculum, I felt prepared to take on projects and effectively time manage.”
Savage currently works as an analyst at Goldman Sachs in the Wealth Management Operations Division. This opportunity arose after a summer internship that fulfilled her PTECH requirements. She feels the professional skills and real world experiences she learned while in the program truly shaped her into the professional she is today.
“Using the interpersonal skills I developed at PTECH, I have been able to confidently work in groups and present in various educational and professional settings.”
While Savage feels PTECH changed her for the better by giving her a head start on her academic journey, her favorite part of the program were the relationships she created while she was there.
“I was able to form long-lasting relationships with staff and professors at PTECH and FMCC,” said Savage. “Those relationships, along with the friendships with my peers, have helped me reach where I am today.”
Savage is currently working on her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Siena College and will graduate in December. She is excited to start her professional career and plans to pursue her MBA in the future.
