PTECH students Nick Suits, Marcos Santiago and Monique Beam accompanied PTECH/FMCC Transition Coordinator Jennifer Drake to the annual Advisory Council meeting that brings together representatives from the Technology Division of Fulton Montgomery Community College, the HFM BOCES Career and Technical Center and the local business community.
The meeting, which took place April 3, started with a tour of Anderson-Negele in Fultonville, where they manufacture process instrumentation for the food industry. The tour was followed by dinner at the Allen House at FMCC and the council’s meeting.
The students presented during the meeting portion of the evening regarding the National Science Foundation TECH-Lane project. Santiago and Beam spoke about their experience at PTECH and FMCC. Suits spoke about his paid internship with GLOBAL FOUNDRIES, where he is continuing to work part-time while he completes his coursework at FMCC and the PTECH program.
