PTECH students enrolled in our Animal Science and Environmental Science programs recently toured Hilltop Acres Farm, a small family operated farm run by Clark and Gretchen Subik. This 100 acre farm located in Fonda, NY has been in operation since 1985 and is known for their breeding stock of Black Angus cattle and Texel sheep. Students learned about challenges of the agriculture industry, why there is more interest in locally sourced meat and produce, and other information about the industry today. All of this information will be valuable as students work towards projects in each class. A big thank you to the Subik family for their hospitality.
